Johannes Agbahey

Dr. Johanes Agbahey is agricultural economist. As advisor at the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH, he is actively engaged in the development and management of projects based on requests from partner countries. His work contributes to improve agricultural policies and enhance intra-African trade.

 

Between 2013 and 2018, he was research and teaching assistant at the University of Hohenheim and the Humboldt-University of Berlin. His expertise centred on the use of economic modelling to inform agricultural, trade and development policy decisions. From 2008 to 2011, he served as research fellow at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), where he focused on the analysis and development of agricultural value chains. His research activities cover developing countries, especially in Africa and the Middle East.
